Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and setup of roofing sites, including organizing materials and tools.
Support the installation of roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, or membranes under supervision.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
Perform heavy lifting tasks to move materials, equipment, and supplies around the job site.
Help with site cleanup and ensuring work areas are safe, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Assist with the use of schematics and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
Support tradespeople with tasks related to carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or welding as needed to facilitate roofing work.
Qualifications
Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures on construction sites.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts.
Knowledge of roofing techniques or experience working with roofing materials is a plus.
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work well within a team environment.
Willingness to learn technical skills such as welding or fabrication related to roofing projects.
A proactive attitude towards safety practices and attention to detail in all tasks.
