This role will require supporting and working collaboratively with the manager to provide the administrative support, as well as working with the service users focusing on delivering the quality care and support they deserve. Hence, making a difference to our service users with varying degrees of physical and learning disabilities, promoting independence and supporting them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support as well as stimulating therapy-based and social holistic activities.
To participate efficiently and effectively in the daily tasks that co-ordinate the services’ delivery in line with Local Authority and Care Quality Commission requirements.
Qualifications
Holding a current qualification of NVQ Level 3
Key Tasks
- To be a “shift leader’ and support the Service Manager to ensure the service users' needs are taken care of in terms of physical, mental and emotional basis.
- To report both verbally and in writing on service user general condition and wellbeing through the delivery of individually planned care plans.
- To review care plans and risk assessments and other relevant documents and reflect any changes or updates with the key worker and client every quarterly and monthly alone.
- To work flexibly, including weekend and evening shifts to ensure adequate cover and provide on-call cover.
- To actively support the Service Manager with administrative and secretarial duties, ensuring the home delivers a quality service and maintains compliance in all areas.
- Provide input to the Manager on government and CQC guidelines and ensuring all key practises and documentation is in line with the current guidelines.
- Identify and report staff poor performance issues to the Service Manager.
- Record keeping and minute taking in meetings.
- Maintenance of all records relating to the Local Authority, Health Boards; contracting and financing.
- Work with the Management team to contribute to the planning and development of the service to ensure the smooth running of the home.
- To assist the Service Manager with the support planning and risk assessing process and creation of client care plans.
- To represent Jiva Healthcare Ltd in a professional manner and develop effective working partnerships with services available in the local area.
- To be aware of and work within Jiva Healthcare’s policies and procedures.
