First, what we’re not looking for. We’re not after someone who likes an easy day, who thinks this role is just driving around without really doing much, or who wants a steady, comfortable job to coast in. This role needs someone who is genuinely self-motivated. If that’s not you, this is not the role for you. And if you’ve only been landscaping for a couple of years, this is not the job for you either — we need someone who has properly served their time.
This role is for you if… you’re self-motivated, and you’re a landscaper who wants to move on and up from being on the tools full time and is looking for their next opportunity.
4.5 day working week (paid for 5), monthly bonuses, company vehicle, quarterly days out, competitions — these are just some of the perks we offer.
The Leicester Landscaping Company Ltd is a local business, covering Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, and Rutland, creating garden transformations for our domestic clients.
This is a brand-new role for us — one we’ve created for a genuinely skilled, qualified landscaper who’s ready for the next step but still loves being on the tools.
The role sits between our team leaders and our project manager. You’ll work across all three of our construction teams, reporting directly to the project manager and acting as his right-hand on site — getting stuck into the build, sorting snags, keeping standards high, liaising with customers and helping the whole operation run smoothly.
Are you the all-round, top-level landscaper we’ve been looking for?
This is not an easy role, and it’s not a desk role either. It’s hands-on, varied, and genuinely important to how we run. The person who gets this will hold a high level of importance in our organisation — and there’s a clear path to grow. For the right candidate, this role can develop into estimating and producing quotes for projects, further down the line.
What you’ll be doing
- Working on the tools across our three construction teams, building high-end domestic gardens to an exceptional standard
- Reporting to the project manager and taking on whatever’s needed to keep sites moving
- Completing snags and quality checks between stages, leaving every job finished to the standard our clients expect
- Liaising with clients on site — professionally and confidently
- Helping improve the efficiency of the teams and the wider business
- Learning to produce quotes for projects (with full training)
You’ll need to be a genuinely skilled landscaper, with
- Sandstone and porcelain paving laid to a high standard
- Confident woodwork — pergolas, sleeper walls, cladding, fencing
- Brick and block work, and block paving
- Planting and turfing
- The ability to run and finish a job from start to completion with little guidance
- Digger experience (advantageous)
- A full UK driving licence
The kind of person we’re after
- Hardworking, reliable, and trustworthy
- Calm under pressure, with a knack for solving problems before they become issues
- Takes real pride in craftsmanship and the finished result
- Adaptable, motivated, and happy to be trusted to get on with it
- Excellent customer service skills
Your pay
- Salary from £35,000 depending on experience
- Time and a half overtime
- Monthly bonuses
