Gill Marsh Forecourts Limited is a proud and expanding operator of SPAR convenience stores and forecourts, committed to providing exceptional service and high-quality products to our local community. We aim to offer a welcoming shopping experience that meets the diverse needs of our customers, and we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at our Bilsby store.
This is a temporary position providing long-term sickness cover, offering 15 hours per week. The role will continue until the employee returns to work or the cover is no longer required.
About the Role
As a Sales Assistant, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the store by:
- Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with their purchases.
- Operating the till and processing transactions accurately.
- Replenishing shelves and maintaining attractive product displays.
- Preparing hot food, pastries, cakes, and other Food To Go products to company standards.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety throughout the store.
- Helping ensure the store is clean, well-stocked, and welcoming at all times.
- Working as part of a team to deliver an excellent shopping experience.
No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and working in a busy retail environment.
What We're Looking For
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- A positive, friendly, and reliable attitude.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous retail, hospitality, catering, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
