Job Role: Procurement Administrator
Location: On‑site at our amazing Colchester office (CO7 7QR) - easy access from the A12
Salary: From £27,000 per annum
Position: Full-time, Permanent.
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5:15pm
About the Role
This role requires an employee responsible for general administrative tasks within the procurement function. The Procurement Administrator will ensure accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels, coordinate with warehouses, and support the team by maintaining high standards of service and reliability.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Update and maintain Out of Stock (OOS) reports and product spreadsheets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels.
- Liaise with warehouse team and suppliers to coordinate stock movements, ensuring timely updates on stock levels and resolving any stock-related issues.
- Create chasing reports, follow up on Purchase Orders (POs) with suppliers, confirm delivery dates, and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
- Understand and implement quality check procedures to ensure received goods meet Greenmill’s standards and specifications, reporting and resolving any quality issues.
- Update and coordinate with other departments, such as Customer Experience (CX), to ensure smooth business operations and clear communication regarding stock availability and potential delays.
- Speak and act respectfully to colleagues, offering help confidently and explaining when unable to help and why.
- Adapt quickly to new ways of working and seek guidance from more experienced colleagues to understand root causes of problems.
- Identify and prioritise important and urgent tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
