Role Overview
As a Lithographic Press Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of our multi-unit lithographic printing presses. Your expertise will be vital in producing high-quality printed materials that meet exact client specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate lithographic printing presses, monitoring the process throughout the run and making necessary adjustments.
- Quality Control: Perform rigorous quality checks, including colour matching, registration, and consistency, to ensure the final product meets client and industry standards.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the presses. Troubleshoot any technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the wider production team to meet tight deadlines and maintain high standards of quality.
- Safety and Housekeeping: Adhere to all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Lithographic Press Operator.
- Strong technical knowledge of lithographic printing processes, ink systems, and press mechanics.
- A keen eye for detail and strong colour vision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot press issues effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift manual loads for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with specific press model (Komori B2 4/5 & 10c).
- Experience in both litho and digital printing is a plus.
