Trade Recruit is seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter (self-employed position) to work on behalf of our well-established client in Chesham. This role will involve a variety of domestic carpentry projects, carrying out bespoke installations, repairs, and finishing works in residential properties.
The position is full time, permanent, Monday to Friday, with consistent working hours, competitive day rates, and performance bonuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen fitting
- Carry out a wide range of bespoke domestic carpentry including: 1st fix carpentry (stud walls, door frames, staircases) 2nd fix carpentry (doors, skirting, architraves, window boards, finishes).
- Constructing and fitting partitions and flooring.
- Household repairs and finishing works.
- Work within residential properties, ensuring minimal disruption to occupants.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain professionalism and clear communication with clients and homeowners.
- Always follow health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Carpenter, ideally within domestic settings.
- Kitchen fitting experience
- Strong knowledge of both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
- Own basic tools, PPE, and transport (specialist tools will be provided).
- Valid CSCS card.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Professional, reliable, and customer focused.
