We are currently recruiting for a suitable candidate to join the management team as a Senior Home Care Worker. You will be expected to take part in out of hours on call on two evenings a week and 2 weekends a month.
Job responsibilities:
- To supervise and participate in the delivery of care to Service Users.
- Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used ensuring a person-centred approach.
- To maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.
- To provide support and mentoring for junior/new staff.
- To be responsible for the administration of medication.
- To work effectively with others within Classic Health Care Solutions Ltd to ensure Service Users’ needs are safely met.
- Promote the professional image of the services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour and professional appearance.
- To undertake all duties in accordance with the company Policies and Procedures and abide at all times by the general Social Care Council Code of Practice. Of particular importance are policies relating to Safeguarding and Confidentiality.
- Ensure the ongoing safety of Service Users and staff through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes.
- Undertaken training appropriate to the roll, as agreed with the Manager/Care Co-ordinator, and ensure learning is shared and transferred into practice.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with vulnerable adults in health and social care.
- Driving licence and use of a vehicle for work (with business insurance). Must be able to drive a 12 seater.
- At least 2 years health and social care experience as a Senior Home Care Worker.
Desirable Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 + in Health and Social care.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Skilled in Excel/Spreadsheets.
