Bricklayer – Repointing & Lintel Works
Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Bricklayer to join our growing team.
The role will primarily involve repointing works and lintel replacements, alongside general brickwork repairs across a variety of residential properties.
We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, takes pride in their workmanship and can complete works to a high standard.
A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle are essential for this position, as you will be required to travel between different job locations.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out repointing works to residential properties.
- Rake out existing mortar joints and prepare brickwork ready for repointing.
- Complete lintel replacements and associated brickwork.
- Carefully remove and rebuild brickwork where required.
- Carry out general brickwork repairs and remedial works.
- Match existing brickwork and mortar finishes as closely as possible.
- Identify any additional defects or issues while carrying out works and report these to the office/site supervisor.
- Work safely from scaffolding and other access equipment where required.
- Protect surrounding areas and properties while works are being completed.
- Keep working areas clean, tidy and safe.
- Work efficiently to complete jobs within allocated timescales.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, clients and other members of the team.
Requirements
- Experienced and competent Bricklayer.
- Strong experience in repointing is essential.
- Experience carrying out lintel replacements.
- Good knowledge of brickwork repairs and remedial masonry works.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Comfortable working on occupied residential properties.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own vehicle suitable for travelling between jobs.
- Own basic tools preferred.
About the Role
The majority of the work will involve repointing and lintel replacements, so we are specifically looking for someone with strong experience in these areas rather than a general multi-trade operative.
We have ongoing work available and are looking for someone reliable who can become a long-term part of our team.
