Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate A-Level Edexcel Mathematics tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with A-Level students, providing tailored support in their studies and promoting a love for learning.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions via Teams.
- Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to develop personalised learning plans.
- Create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and needs.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
- Communicate effectively and professionally both with students, parents, and necessary tutors regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Marking weekly homework with feedback and supporting exam preparation.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and motivation.
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of educational principles.
- Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and adaptability to different learning needs.
- Knowledge of special education practices is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with students and parents.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students while maintaining a structured learning environment.
Safeguarding Requirements:
Successful applicants will be expected to undergo safeguarding checks and provide a Basic/Enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one) prior to commencing tuition. A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and promoting student welfare is essential.
