Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Conduct Leader to oversee student behaviour and promote a positive learning environment during term time. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and student development, with a focus on fostering respectful conduct and supporting behavioural standards within the school community. The position is paid and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute meaningfully to student wellbeing and school culture.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage student behaviour in classrooms, corridors, and communal areas, ensuring adherence to school policies.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to promote respectful conduct among pupils.
- Support teachers in maintaining a calm and productive classroom environment.
- Engage with students to encourage positive behaviour and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies as necessary to support behavioural improvement plans.
- Lead initiatives aimed at fostering a respectful school ethos and reinforcing behavioural expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of behavioural incidents and interventions, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching or working within an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
- Commitment to promoting inclusive and respectful behaviour among pupils.

Salary: £23,100 - 38 Weeks Plus inset days Term Time Only (FTE £26,886) + Additional £250pa for First Aid Support if added to the rota
Usual daily working hours between 7.45am and 4.30pm, total 36.5 hours per week – actual hours to be agreed.
