About the Role
We are a growing group of restaurants based in Manchester and are seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee and manage the group’s financial operations. This is a key role supporting multiple sites, requiring strong technical accounting skills and hands-on experience within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Managing day-to-day accounting for a multi-site restaurant group
Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
Overseeing accounts payable and receivable
Bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasting
VAT returns and liaison with HMRC
Payroll oversight and coordination
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Working closely with senior management to provide financial insight
Requirements
Proven experience as an Accountant, ideally within hospitality or multi-site businesses
Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software
Solid understanding of VAT, payroll, and UK accounting standards
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) preferred but not essential
