We are seeking an educator who is committed to delivering exceptional early years education, building positive relationships with children and families, and maintaining the highest standards of care, teaching, and professionalism every day. We are particularly looking for someone who has a genuine passion for outdoor learning and understands the value of nature, exploration, and managed risk-taking in supporting children's development.
The Role
As an Early Years Educator, you will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and independence.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging activities that meet the individual needs and interests of every child.
- Provide rich, meaningful outdoor learning experiences that encourage children to explore, investigate, problem-solve, and develop resilience through play in nature.
- Promote children's learning through purposeful play, meaningful interactions, and effective questioning.
- Observe, assess, and accurately record children's progress in line with Development Matters.
- Create an enabling, inclusive, and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment.
- Support children's emotional wellbeing and personal development.
- Build positive partnerships with parents and carers through regular communication.
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times.
- Work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery.

Person SpecificationEssential
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) recognised by the Department for Education.
- Experience working in an early years setting.
- Excellent understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- A genuine enthusiasm for outdoor learning and creating engaging experiences in all weather.
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Food Hygiene qualification.
- Knowledge of the Hygge Approach.
- Experience of Forest School, nature-based learning, or other outdoor education approaches.
