Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Youth Worker (minimum Level 2) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting and empowering young individuals, helping them navigate challenges and develop essential life skills. This position requires a commitment to fostering a positive environment where youth can thrive, learn, and grow.
Duties
- Provide mentorship and guidance to young people, encouraging personal development and self-esteem.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of the youth.
- Facilitate group activities that promote teamwork, communication, and social skills.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for each individual.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of youth participants, adjusting programmes as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress reports for each young person.
- Assist in creating a safe and inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes positive relationships.
Skills
- Strong background in mentoring and youth work, with a passion for supporting young individuals.
- Experience in special education or working with children who have additional needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with young people from various backgrounds.
- Ability to educate and inspire youth through creative programming and activities.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and programme development.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution within group settings.
Training will be provided. Qualifications for higher levels will be supported and financed for the right candidates.

- You will be required to work the minimum of 15 hours per week to begin with and these hours will be 3pm-8pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday every week, until the team is established and a rota is created. Are you able to commit to this?
