Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible and caring Dog Walker to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs and ensuring their safety during walks. The successful candidate will enjoy working outdoors, engaging with animals, and delivering excellent customer service to pet owners. A passion for animals and previous veterinary or animal care experience are highly desirable.
In September the job will become 9-5, 4 days a week, £120/day
Duties
- Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes for four hours in the forest, Mon-Thu.
- Provide attentive animal care, including feeding, administering medication if required, and monitoring behaviour during walks.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents or injuries to animals or persons.
- Assist with additional tasks related to animal care as needed.
Experience
- Previous veterinary experience or background in animal care is preferred but not essential; a genuine love for animals is a must.
- Customer service experience is advantageous to ensure positive interactions with pet owners.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting dogs into vehicles or managing equipment.
- Prior experience in dog walking or pet sitting is beneficial but training will be provided for the right candidate.
- A valid driving licence is required for transportation duties. This position offers an engaging environment working with animals daily while providing excellent service to clients. The ideal candidate will be organised, compassionate, and attentive to detail to ensure the safety and happiness of every dog in their care.
Pay: From £50.00 per day
