General Manager – Activ8 Fitness (Ladies Only Club)

Salary: Package of £33,800–£36,800 per annum, depending on experience (including revenue and performance bonuses).

Activ8 Fitness is Bedford's premium 24-hour ladies-only gym, and we're looking for an ambitious General Manager to lead our growing business.
This is more than a management role. We're looking for someone with a commercial mindset who will take ownership of the club, drive membership growth, maximise revenue, lead a small team, and deliver an exceptional experience for our members.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive membership sales and improve member retention.
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of two.
- Manage the club's commercial performance, including revenue, costs and profitability.
- Build local business partnerships and community relationships.
- Increase secondary revenue opportunities.
- Manage social media and local marketing.
- Deliver a small number of fitness classes each week.
- Ensure the club operates to the highest standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Management experience in fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail.
- A strong commercial and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A proactive, organised and results-driven attitude.
- A minimum Level 2 Fitness qualification (or equivalent).
- The right to work in the UK.
