Specialist Palliative Care Nurse – Ad Hoc Work
Location: Stourbridge and Kingswinford areas
Hours: Flexible, ad hoc shifts

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Specialist Palliative Care Nurse to provide high-quality, person-centred care across the Stourbridge and Kingswinford areas.
This is an ad hoc role, so flexibility is essential. It would suit an experienced nurse seeking flexible work that can fit around other professional or personal commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering specialist palliative and end-of-life care
- Supporting patients to remain comfortable and maintain their dignity
- Assessing symptoms and developing individualised care plans
- Providing sensitive support and guidance to patients and their families
- Working collaboratively with GPs, community teams and other healthcare professionals
- Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records
What we are looking for
- Current NMC registration
- Relevant experience in palliative or end-of-life care
- Strong clinical assessment and symptom-management skills
- A compassionate, sensitive and professional approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and the flexibility to undertake ad hoc shifts
- The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, if travel between patients is required
