We are now accepting applications for the following position:
LAUNDRYSPOTTER/CLEANER
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Professional Spotting by inspecting soiled articles to determine sources of stains and identify items requiring special treatment.
- Sort soiled articles in preparation for washing; follow procedures to separate them by customer, fabric, color, cleaning technique or dirt content.
- Operate machines including washers, dryers and dry-cleaning equipment, etc. in a safe manner and in accordance with management established procedures.
- Iron or press articles, fabrics, linens, using hand irons or pressing machines to ensure quality work at management established production levels.
- Properly identified and report losses and damages of items.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment; report any accident, safety issues and equipment problems to the Production Manager.
- Perform other duties as required from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, walk for long periods of time.
- Able to multitask and have a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Satisfactory police record.
- Fluency in English.
- Scheduling flexibility; able to work early morning shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Hourly Wage Range: US$10.67 - US$13.00 per hour
