Are you an experienced practice accountant looking for more client interaction, advisory work and portfolio ownership?
We're recruiting for a growing, modern accountancy practice in South Manchester that is investing heavily in cloud accounting and proactive client support. This is an opportunity to manage your own portfolio, build strong client relationships, mentor junior staff and play a key role in the firm's continued growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a variety of sectors
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Producing and reviewing management accounts, VAT and bookkeeping work
- Advising clients on tax planning, profitability, cashflow and business performance
- Supporting cloud accounting solutions, including Xero
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing coaching and support
- Building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' UK accountancy practice experience
- Strong experience preparing year-end accounts and tax returns
- Experience managing client relationships and workload deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Xero and cloud accounting systems
- Experience with TaxCalc or similar compliance software
- AAT, ACCA qualified/part-qualified or QBE considered
