On Sunday 4th October we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help motivate runners and create an unforgettable race-day experience. There's no set time commitment - every bit of support makes a difference, whether it's for a short while or longer. The Cardiff Half Marathon sees over 27,000 runners take on this iconic half Marathon every year. **What you'll be doing:** Barnardo's volunteers play a vital role on race day. Come rain or shine, you'll help create an incredible atmosphere for our runners and supporters. At our **charity stand**, you'll welcome participants and their friends and family, answer basic questions, thank runners for their support, and celebrate their achievements as they cross the finish line. At our **cheer station**, we'll provide clappers, cheer sticks and instruments to help make as much noise as possible and keep runners motivated along the route. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our work, gain hands-on event experience and be part of a supportive team. You don’t need any prior experience, just a sense of fun, team spirit, and enthusiasm. **What you’ll get:** - The knowledge that you’re supporting Barnardo's runners on race day - A welcome call from the Barnardo's Event Manager - A detailed briefing at the start of the event - Snacks and drinks - A Barnardo’s Volunteer T-shirt Please do wear weather appropriate clothing and bring a re-useable water bottle with you.
