About the Role
We are seeking a professional, reliable and proactive Mobile Response Officer to join our security operations team. This role is responsible for carrying out scheduled and emergency mobile patrols across Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, responding to alarm activations, conducting welfare and lock/unlock visits, and supporting static security officers when required.
The successful candidate will be the face of the company while working independently, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, professionalism and security at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled mobile patrols of commercial, industrial and residential sites.
- Attend alarm activations and investigate incidents in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform locking and unlocking of client premises.
- Conduct welfare visits to lone workers and vulnerable sites.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and provide assistance to on-site security personnel.
- Complete internal and external security inspections.
- Identify and report security, safety or maintenance issues.
- Submit accurate electronic patrol reports and incident reports using company systems.
- Liaise with clients, emergency services and the Control Room professionally.
- Ensure company vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy and regularly inspected.
- Maintain company equipment including radios, keys, mobile devices and PPE.
- Follow all company policies, assignment instructions and Health & Safety procedures.
- Be prepared to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays as part of a rotating shift pattern.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence
- Minimum age of 25 years
- Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 3 years
- Excellent driving record
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work alone and make sound decisions under pressure
- Good IT skills and confidence using smartphones and electronic reporting systems
- Flexible approach to working hours including nights and weekends
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in mobile patrols or response security
- CCTV Licence (advantageous)
- First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid qualification
- Conflict Management training
- Knowledge of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire road networks
- Experience working with electronic patrol systems and lone worker devices
