Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef and Manager to lead our culinary team at The Spread Eagle Hotel in Thame. This pivotal role involves overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring top-quality food service, and managing the hospitality team to uphold our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Oversee food production, preparation, and cooking processes.
- Manage daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and function room.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Develop menus in collaboration with the culinary team to attract diverse clientele.
- Manage team schedules, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards across all hospitality areas.
- Collaborate with management to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
- Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a similar hospitality setting.
- Extensive food production and culinary expertise.
- Strong team management and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in restaurant or hotel kitchen environments.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience managing a restaurant or hotel food service is preferred.
