WB Employment is currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner Setter & Operator to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected manufacturer producing high-quality precision components across a range of industries.
Salary
- £15,62- £22.40 - (depending on experience)
- Hourly rate is negotiable for the right candidate.
- 30% shift allowance for late shifts.
Working Hours
Early Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am - 1:30pm
Late Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - Midnight
- 30% shift premium
The Role
As a CNC Turner Setter & Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Your duties will include:
- Setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls
- Programming from engineering drawings
- Producing high-quality components to tight tolerances
- Inspecting finished parts using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and plug gauges
- Working with a variety of materials, mainly on small batch production
- Maintaining excellent quality standards throughout production
- Following all health & safety and company procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement within the production team
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC Turning machines
- Experience using Fanuc controls
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable
- Previous experience in a similar engineering environment
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- Experience operating Sliding Head machines or Manual Grinding equipment (advantageous)
