To ensure a clean, safe working environment within the production and yard area.
To clear production recycling bins from lines and recycle in the yard appropriately by:
a) using cardboard and polythene baler
b) breaking down broken pallets and wooden product to ensure more effective use of wood skip
c) identifying and minimizing general waste
To co-ordinate collection of baled card, poly, strapping, keeping accurate paperwork for environmental and accounting purposes.
To maintain and improve 5S to ensure highest standards of cleanliness in the production areas and yard, involving but not limited to emptying bins, brushing floors, picking litter etc.
To maintain and repair pallets. To manage the stock of pallets, ensuring they are counted weekly and purchasing advised of quantities. To keep pallet area stacked in safe and tidy easily identifiable areas.
To work within strict Health and Safety guidelines.
To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and energetic individual.
Works well on own initiative but equally at home as part of a high performing team.
High attention to detail.
Able to multitask and juggle numerous jobs to keep all lines running and clean.
Positive with a can do attitude.
7.00am-4pm Monday to Friday.
*early finish Friday* - we are currently trialing an early finish Friday.
