Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tyre Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. Duties
- Remove, inspect, and repair tyres using a variety of hand tools and power tools with precision and care
- Mount and dismount tyres from wheels, ensuring proper fitment and balance
- Conduct thorough visual inspections to identify tyre damage, wear patterns, and other issues requiring attention
- Perform wheel alignment adjustments as needed to optimize vehicle handling and safety
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist customers by explaining tyre conditions, recommending replacements or repairs, and providing excellent service
- Lift heavy tyres safely using proper techniques and equipment to prevent injury and ensure efficiency
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle tyre systems and basic automotive maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
- Experience operating power tools used in tyre fitting and repair processes
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures related to wheel balancing, alignment, and tyre rotation
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout shifts
- Fast Fit skills for light mechanical work would be advantageous
