Job Overview
We have recently opened our new warehouse for which we are hiring a Dispatch and distributions manager. We are seeking highly organised Dispatch and Distributions Manager to oversee the efficient coordination of transportation and logistics operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing dispatch processes, supervising staff, and ensuring seamless communication across supply chain functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in logistics, warehouse management, and process optimisation to contribute to operational excellence.
We are looking for someone to join our team on a long term basis. This role is eligible for UK Skilled worker visa sponsorship, although eligible candidates must have completed a masters degree in the UK as it is a higher management level job.
Duties
- Oversee daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods across various locations.
- Supervise a team of dispatch staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate with transportation providers, including third-party logistics (3PL) partners, to optimise routes and schedules.
- Manage shipping & receiving activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Monitor profit & loss metrics related to dispatch activities, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise supply chain workflows.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records using relevant software platforms.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to coordinate inventory levels, order fulfilment, and stock replenishment.
Skills
- Experience in supervising logistics or dispatch teams within a warehouse or distribution centre environment is preferential but other experiences and skills will also be considered.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics management, and transportation systems is important.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, forklift operation, and warehouse safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives aimed at continuous optimisation of dispatch functions.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Analytical mindset with experience monitoring profit & loss statements related to logistics activities.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9:am to 5:pm
Pay: £33,600.00-£34,000.00 per year
