A brilliant opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join a proactive People and Culture Team. This is a busy and varied role where you will build relationships with Managers, supporting them through all people related issues in a fair, consistent and compliant manner. Our People & Culture team plays a key role in supporting our colleagues and ensuring we continue to provide a positive, inclusive and rewarding place to work.
Location
This role is based at our Newry Head Office .
Your Role
The HR Advisor role offers excellent variety and scope. You will be a trusted Advisor to managers and colleagues, supporting across the full employee lifecycle.
As you would expect ,no two days are the same. You will work closely with an experienced People & Culture team and be supported by the Group People & Culture Manager.
What you’ll be doing:
- Being the first point of contact for HR queries from Managers
- Deliver a positive onboarding experience for all new starters, including coordination of induction activity, probation reviews and early-stage support. Support workforce planning and maintain accurate headcount data.
- Coaching Managers through each stage of the disciplinary and grievance process
- Leading on absence management, liaising with occupational health and providing return-to-work support as required
- Advising on maternity, paternity and flexible working requests
- Delivering bitesize training sessions to People Managers
- Administer benefits programmes, respond to colleague queries on pay, benefits and allowances, partner with Payroll to ensure the accuracy of contractual and pay changes
- Contributing to other ongoing HR projects
- Using people data and case management information to identify trends and support decision-making
- Help promote wellbeing across the Group

What are we looking for
- You have at least 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced HR environment.
- You will be CIPD qualified (or working towards)
- You have strong knowledge of UK (GB & NI) employment legislation.
- You are confident using HR systems, Excel and reporting tools.
- You are highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- You are proactive and customer focused.
