Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, review and assist with bookkeeping and maintenance of clients’ accounting records.
- Review and assist with the preparation of VAT returns, preparation of accounts sole traders,
partnerships and limited companies.
- Review and assist with the preparation of management accounts including budgets, forecasts and cash
flow statements.
- Review and assist with the prepare of corporation tax computations, including deferred tax calculations,
and Forms P11D.
- Assist with other client services including business management and ad hoc assignments including
analysis and investigation work.
- Review of business contracts and agreements.
- Have good knowledge of personal and corporation tax rules.
- Communicate with the team to ensure client and Director/Partner expectations are met on delivery and
accuracy of work.
- Maintain and develop client service and relationships.
- Review work of trainees and give constructive feedback.
- Manage time effectively to complete multiple tasks to appropriate deadlines.
- Liaise with other departments to efficiently and effectively complete jobs.
- Acts with honesty, fairness and integrity in all dealings with clients, contacts and colleagues whilst
respecting confidentiality and building trust.
- Has experience with business management and accounts.
Technical, Training and Skill Levels
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- 3 to 5 years solid experience with background in a UK accountancy practice.
- Good technical and compliance skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills including proficiency with Excel.
- Has experience working on QuickBooks or Xero.
- CaseWare accounting software (training will be provided).
- Maintains high standards of professional conduct and practice.
- Build relationships with peers internally and externally.
