Mobile Cleaning Specialist / Area Supervisor

We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Mobile Cleaning Specialist / Area Supervisor to support our growing portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries.
This is a varied and hands on role that combines specialist cleaning with operational supervision. Due to the nature of our business, working hours will vary and will include early mornings, evenings, and occasional Saturdays to meet our clients' operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out specialist cleaning services across a range of commercial and domestic sites.
- Perform hard floor scrubbing, machine maintenance, stripping, sealing, and floor restoration.
- Complete carpet and upholstery cleaning using wet extraction and bonnet buffing methods.
- Operate and maintain scrubber driers and other specialist cleaning equipment.
- Provide general cleaning cover for sickness, holidays, and emergency absences.
- Train, induct, and support new employees, ensuring all onboarding documentation is completed.
- Carry out regular site inspections and monthly client quality audits.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and resolve operational issues professionally.
- Manage stock levels and place orders for cleaning materials and consumables.
- Record damaged equipment and arrange repairs through the office.
- Support budget control and cost management across contracts.
- Complete administrative duties, including vehicle inspections, COSHH documentation, Health and Safety records, and payroll information.
- Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on company equipment. Full training and certification will be provided.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, Health and Safety legislation, and client requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Previous experience within the commercial cleaning industry.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a specialist cleaning or supervisory role.
- Experience operating specialist cleaning machinery, including carpet cleaning equipment and scrubber driers.
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning chemicals, methods, and safe working practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and cleaning operatives.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence with a minimum of one year's driving experience.
- Professional appearance with a positive, reliable, and proactive attitude.
- Honest, organised, and capable of working independently as well as part of a wider management team.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including days, nights, weekends, and occasional overtime, in line with business needs.
- BICSc qualification is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
- Two satisfactory employment references.
Working Pattern:
This is a full time position working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis of 40 hours per week. Due to the operational requirements of our clients, flexibility is essential. The role includes early morning starts, evening work, and some Saturdays each month. Working hours will vary depending on business and client requirements, and applicants should be prepared to work across a flexible schedule.
