As our practice continues to grow, we are looking to welcome a Specialist Oral Surgeon to expand our in-house referral services.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and patient-focused Specialist Oral Surgeon to establish and grow a referral-based list within a thriving private practice. Initially, we are offering one to two clinical sessions per month, with the opportunity to increase sessions as demand grows.
You will work closely with our general dentists and specialist colleagues, providing expert assessment and treatment for a wide range of oral surgery cases while delivering an outstanding patient experience.
The Role
You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment planning and management of patients requiring specialist oral surgery procedures, including:
- Surgical extractions, including impacted wisdom teeth
- Complex exodontia
- Surgical removal of retained roots
- Exposure and bonding of impacted teeth
- Soft tissue surgery and biopsies (where appropriate)
- Management of patients referred for complex oral surgery procedures
- Providing clear treatment plans and maintaining excellent communication with referring clinicians
- Delivering high standards of clinical care and record keeping in line with GDC and CQC requirements
What We're Looking For
- GDC registered Specialist Oral Surgeon (or a dentist eligible for inclusion on the GDC Specialist List in Oral Surgery)
- Valid indemnity insurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient-focused approach with a commitment to providing outstanding clinical care
- Experience working within private practice is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
