Senior Cathodic Protection Engineer

Job Overview
Onshore Technical is supporting the recruitment of an experienced Senior Cathodic Protection Engineer to join a specialist integrity management and engineering team.
This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced CP Engineer who can provide technical leadership across cathodic protection consultancy, design, installation, maintenance, repair, and integrity management projects.
The successful candidate will act as a technical lead within a collaborative engineering environment, supporting clients, mentoring junior engineers, managing complex projects, and contributing to the development of cathodic protection and asset integrity services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cathodic protection consultancy services for pipelines and associated plant
- Support CP design, installation, maintenance, and repair projects
- Provide technical input into integrity management systems and engineering solutions
- Define strategies for complex and challenging CP projects
- Manage projects to required quality, cost, and time requirements
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers
- Work collaboratively with technicians, engineers, and wider technical teams
- Prepare detailed technical reports and project documentation
- Give presentations and participate in technical meetings with clients
- Support business development activities
- Contribute to technical papers, journal articles, and industry conference presentations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Promote technical excellence and continuous improvement across CP services
Requirements
- More than 5 years’ proven experience in a related cathodic protection or integrity role
- NACE / AMPP Cathodic Protection qualification at minimum Level 2
- Bachelor’s degree minimum in a related engineering discipline
- Strong cathodic protection consultancy, design, or project delivery experience
- Experience working with pipelines and associated plant
- Ability to manage complex technical projects involving multiple resources
- Strong technical reporting and presentation skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Ability to mentor and supervise junior engineers
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally when required
- Must have the legal right to live and work in the UK
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of pipeline inspection technologies
- Broader experience across integrity management disciplines
- Experience contributing to business development or technical service growth
- Experience presenting at technical meetings, seminars, or industry events
