Peripatetic Music Teachers Required – Instrumental & Vocal Tuition
Location: Basingstoke
Hours: Flexible, term-time only (part-time opportunities available)
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Peripatetic Music Teachers to deliver high-quality instrumental and vocal lessons at primary schools in Basingstoke.
This is an excellent opportunity for passionate music educators who enjoy inspiring young people and helping students develop their musical skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging one-to-one and small group instrumental and/or vocal lessons.
- Plan and prepare lessons tailored to individual student needs and abilities.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to pupils, parents, and schools as required.
- Encourage participation in performances, examinations, and school music activities.
- Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
- Work professionally with school staff, parents, and the wider music education team.
Requirements
- Strong performance and teaching skills on one or more instruments and/or voice.
- Previous experience teaching children and young people.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners of varying ages and abilities.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Relevant music qualifications and teaching experience are desirable.
