Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 (or above) Early Years Educator to join our team here at our brand new setting ... Little Greenhouse Nursery! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of children in our care. The Early Years Educator will work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure high standards of care and education.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team atmosphere focused on the children's best interests.
- Manage classroom behaviour in a positive manner, promoting respect and cooperation among children.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as safeguarding policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early years education.
- Supporting children with SEN and EAL.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
- A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in English, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development through play-based learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. - First aid - desirable but we can provide
- Candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and two references from line managers of previous employers, one being your current or last employer.
Work pattern
- x5 days full time.
- Between 830am and 430pm / 5pm
- Term time only
We close on bank holidays and for two weeks at Christmas. We are a new setting with a new friendly staff team and we are looking for somebody who shares our values to join us on our journey here at Little Greenhouse!
