Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Construction Materials Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering construction materials to various sites across the midlands region efficiently and safely. This role requires excellent driving skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to manage multiple deliveries within designated timeframes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5 Tonne flatbed lorry for multi-drop deliveries of construction materials
- Plan delivery routes effectively to ensure timely arrival at multiple sites throughout the day
- Strap & fix construction materials, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Verify delivery details and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from clients or site managers
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or issues promptly
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including safe manual handling practices
- Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and management regarding delivery schedules or issues
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record suitable for a 7.5 Tonne vehicle (category C1)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within the construction or similar industry
- Experience with flatbed vehicles and commercial driving is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple drops efficiently
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight delivery schedules
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing routes or delivery requirements as needed
