Captain Cyan are London's speedy print experts. We specialise in printing posters and art prints; exhibition and event graphics; branding and promotional products; and a wide range of small format printing including brochures and flyers.
We sell online; provide print fulfilment to small and medium-size ecommerce businesses; run outsourced print room services; and offer graphic design and print installation services.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and organised individual to work primarily in customer service and on graphic design and artworking at our central London production studio.
Our fast paced business means that alongside customer service you’ll also be working on print production to make sure that we complete orders on time. You will be working across the business supporting colleagues in customer service, performing basic graphic design tasks to get artwork print ready as well as assisting colleagues working in print production.
You will have excellent written and spoken English, as you will be handling customer enquiries over the phone and via email.
You should have some relevant experience in graphic design using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. Your graphic design experience does not have to have come from professional experience, but you will be required to take a short practical test at the in person interview.
This is an on-site role at our facility on Southwark Bridge Road, SE1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working alongside the general manager to answer phone and email enquiries
- Pre-print artwork checks, and performing small graphic design tasks to get artwork print ready (adding bleed, crop marks, cut paths etc)
- Ad-hoc graphic design jobs for customers
- Operating both large and small format printers, under supervision from the production manager
- Post-print finishing, packing and dispatching of orders
- Quality checking orders to maintain our high standards
- Working with colleagues to ensure production, customer and storage areas are kept safe, clean and tidy
- Following our sustainability processes, including the monitoring and reducing of waste materials and correct disposal of recyclable and non-recyclable materials
- Following and implementing our health and safety measures
- Other ad-hoc duties as requested by management
About You:
- You’ll conduct yourself confidently with a friendly, professional and customer-centric approach
- You must be able to prioritise, multi-task and manage your time effectively
- You have an aptitude for hard work with a “can-do” attitude
Essential Knowledge:
- Excellent written English, and a friendly and clear phone manner
- At least one year of graphic design experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Must be able to demonstrate a good standard of numeracy

- In-person interview with the General Manager and Managing Director to discuss the role in more detail, and to provide an opportunity to meet the rest of the team, alongside a quick test of your graphic design skills

Working Conditions:
- We are implementing shift working to support our growing business. Our core operating hours are Monday to Thursday, 8am to 8pm and 10am to 6pm on a Friday with shifts covering 8 hours during this period
- Safety footwear to be worn at all times whilst working in our production facility, which we will provide
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
