About the Role
Euro Foods Group Ltd provides rewarding and fulfilling career opportunities within our Cash & Carry Department. We are looking for experienced and reliable Butchers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cutting a variety of meat products for customers while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and customer service.
This is a hands-on role within a busy retail environment, so the ideal candidate should be confident working independently, have good attention to detail, and be comfortable dealing with customers.
Job Description:
- Prepare cuts of meat according to customer specifications and preferences
- Trim, bone, tie, grind, and slice meats using various tools and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery workspace, including equipment and utensils
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming meat deliveries
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding stock needs
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service by offering product recommendations and answering inquiries about cuts and preparation methods
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the butchery department
Skills:
- Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter
- Knowledge of different cuts of meat and their optimal uses
- Familiarity with meat processing equipment such as knives, saws, grinders, and slicers
Work Authorisation:
- Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
28 days’ annual leave, including public holidays
Salary negotiable dependent on experience.
