Are you looking to start or grow your career in community pharmacy? Allied Pharmacy, based at Port Talbot Resource Centre, is looking for a friendly and reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our welcoming team.
In this role, you'll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, supporting our pharmacists and dispensing team while delivering excellent service to every customer who walks through our doors.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with the accurate dispensing and labelling of prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Welcome customers, answer queries and provide friendly advice on over-the-counter products
- Process prescriptions, manage stock and help keep the dispensary well organised
- Handle transactions at the counter accurately and professionally
- Support the wider pharmacy team with general day-to-day tasks
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all relevant pharmacy procedures
What we're looking for:
- A warm, approachable manner and genuine desire to help people
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
- A team player who can also use their own initiative
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or customer-facing role is desirable but not essential
- Willingness to undertake relevant training, such as the Dispensing Assistant qualification, if not already held
- Flexibility, as this role would include weekends
