Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Assist in menu planning and develop new culinary ideas to enhance the dining experience
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
- Serve food efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service
- Adhere strictly to food safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates with relevant skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings as required
