We are seeking a Technical Site Electrician to provide electrical, mechanical and building services engineering maintenance across client property sites.
The role involves fault finding, repairs, maintenance and installation activities, with a strong focus on delivering a world-class building services maintenance service.
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled individual with an electrical bias to complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks, support site operations, work collaboratively within a team of three, and help ensure all equipment operates to the required performance standards while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PPM and reactive maintenance tasks including statutory compliance activities, emergency lighting, water heaters, 12-month RCD checks, distribution boards, bus bars and PAT testing where required.
- Undertake fault finding, repairs, maintenance and installation across electrical, mechanical and building services systems.
- Carry out proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within agreed timeframes.
- Support maintenance activities on containment buildings and the associated Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
- Assist with ETP system maintenance during planned shutdown periods and complete required reports.
- Provide callout response as directed by the supervisor and support out-of-hours requirements through the shift team.
- Escort and oversee subcontractors, including contractor control duties and permit-to-work activities.
- Undertake Approved Person (AP) training and support small project works and non-electrical tasks where required.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following:
- City & Guilds 2230 Level 3 or NVQ 2356 / 2357
- City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- And:
- AM1 and AM2
- City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018), preferably with A2 amendmentExperience & Skills
- Experience providing electrical building services maintenance including fault finding, maintenance, installation and inspection/testing.
- Experience delivering reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
- Experience working within FM or building services environments supporting commercial properties.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
- Strong commitment to customer service and maintaining company standards.
- Understanding of contractor management, permit-to-work systems and safe working practices.
- Ability to ensure equipment and surrounding areas conform to agreed standards.
