Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fit-Out Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially viable cost estimates for multi-disciplinary fit-out works by reviewing and responding to tender queries. The fit-out estimator will gather and analyse quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that MPACT proposals are competitive while maintaining profitability and project alignment. The role includes office-based estimating activities, site visits as required, and participation in client meetings to understand project requirements, design intent and value engineering opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for fit-out projects based on detailed drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Analyse project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and suppliers to gather accurate pricing information.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Identify potential cost savings without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Assist in tendering processes by preparing competitive bids and proposals.
- Maintain organised records of estimates, quotations, and relevant documentation for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Fit-Out Estimator or similar role within the construction or interior fit-out industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Demonstrable expertise in cost control techniques and budget management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- A recognised qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
