Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roofer/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of commercial and residential projects. Duties
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and roofing materials
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Operate welding equipment when necessary for metal roofing components or structural supports
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal sheets, insulation, and other roofing supplies
- Use carpentry and masonry skills to prepare surfaces and build supporting structures for roofing applications
- Conduct fabrication tasks to customize roofing components as specified in project plans
- Support plumbing or ventilation work related to roofing systems when required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool handling
Requirements
- Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing is highly preferred
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety standards
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, and standing for extended periods
- Basic carpentry, masonry, plumbing or masonry skills are advantageous
- Willingness to learn new skills and work effectively as part of a team
