Job Summary:
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to clients across various locations. The role involves regular heavy lifting and manual handling, so prior experience with physically demanding work is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, transport, and deliver furniture and materials to customers in a timely and safe manner.
- Safely operate company vehicles, including large vans and trucks.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods
- Follow delivery schedules and route plans efficiently.
- Ensure all paperwork, including delivery notes and logs, are completed accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service at the point of delivery.
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Work within our existing logistics team
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence (Category B; Category C1 or above is a plus).
- Proven experience in a delivery driving role.
- Comfortable with regular heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
