We are looking for an experienced and motivated Fire Alarm Engineer to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality fire detection and life safety solutions while providing outstanding customer service.
As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, service, and maintain fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to fire detection equipment.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
- Test fire alarm systems in accordance with relevant British Standards.
- Complete service reports, certification, and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with current fire safety legislation and industry standards.
- Liaise professionally with customers and provide technical advice where required.
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota where applicable.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
- Good knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
- Experience servicing and fault-finding on systems from leading manufacturers.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- FIA (Fire Industry Association) training or equivalent.
- Experience with Gent, Advanced, Morley, Kentec, C-Tec, Apollo, Hochiki, or other major fire alarm systems.
- ECS or CSCS card (desirable)
- IPAF or PASMA certification (desirable)
- Knowledge of emergency lighting systems and fire safety regulations.
