The role
To be the face of the Packaging compliance team, delivering high-quality data verification support to existing customers, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring a positive customer experience. To build strong relationships with customers through the understanding of their needs and requirements to support with their packaging data and legislative obligations.

The responsibilities (there are more!)

Act as the named account manager for allocated packaging compliance members, delivering excellent customer service and acting as their primary point of contact using a “phone first” approach.
- Provide technical and regulatory support to allocated members, interpreting complex legislation in the context of customer business activities (full training on the regulations will be given) including data submissions, recycling fee estimates, explanation of market fluctuations and compliance guidance.
- Verification of customer data submissions to the regulator, collaborating with the wider packaging team to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
- Conduct customer meetings and audits (On-site, via desktop, or by telephone), providing assistance with recommendations from regulator audits.
- Build strong relationships with members to support retention, identify cross-selling opportunities and contribute to company growth targets
- Administrative support including updating of customer details, data resubmissions, customer base communications and other quality checks.
- Proactively contribute to improving the packaging service delivery including customer experience, internal processes, efficiencies and developing new customer resources.

The person
You will be comfortable and confident in building strong relationships with customers, communicating clearly and professionally over the phone, via email and through in-person and virtual meetings. You will enjoy being a trusted point of contact, supporting members with their compliance obligations and providing clear, practical guidance (full training on the regulations will be given).
You will have an appetite for learning, being able to absorb new information quickly and effectively, interpret guidance and apply this to a variety of business contexts. The successful candidate will be highly organised, with a strong ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced and varied role. You will be proficient with Microsoft Office, with a particular focus on Excel, and have a logical and methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
To thrive in this role, you will be passionate about excellent customer service and excited to work for a business for good. You will bring a strong work ethic, excellent administrative skills and a proactive mindset, taking ownership of your accounts and seeing tasks through to completion in line with internal and external deadlines.
You will have a flexible, ‘muck in’ approach to teamwork, being comfortable adapting to change and shifting priorities. You’ll be committed to growing with the business, contribute ideas for continuous improvement and play an active role in achieving wider company objectives.
A Full UK driving licence is required to carry out on-site customer visits and audits. We require all members of staff to work from the office every day for their first 3 months, and 3 days a week following this, therefore living within commuting distance to Skipton should be considered when applying.
If you have previous experience working in a customer facing role then even better. A wicked sense of humour is a bonus too!
