Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food and Beverage Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant or hotel experience, and a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the food and beverage team to ensure smooth service delivery
- Assist in food preparation and cooking as required in chefs absence from the satelite kitchen, maintaining high standards of culinary quality
- Manage staff to foster a motivated and efficient team
- Serve customers courteously
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the satellite kitchen and service areas
- Handle customer complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly to uphold service standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and presentation
- Support bar operations including barista services where applicable
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant or hotel environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
- Experience in food production, serving, and hospitality operations
- Knowledge of kitchen procedures, culinary techniques, and barista services is desirable
- Leadership qualities with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality or culinary arts are advantageous but not essential
