Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 DAY and NIGHT Driver to join our family run business. This Job will be in general haulage using box trailers or curtain sided trailers. The starting point will be at Magna Park Lutterworth. This job is Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday when required. The start times of this Job will be 5:00AM and 5:00PM completing a 10 hour shift. Day rate £180.00 Night rate £200.00. MUST be 25 Years + and have atleast 3 years driving experience. (insurance reasons).
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring on-time arrivals and pickups
- Secure loads properly , verifying load stability and compliance with safety standards
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery notes, and compliance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues
- Follow all driving regulations related to commercial driving and transportation of goods
- Strong knowledge of road safety laws and regulations for HGV drivers
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Good communication skills for interacting with team members and clients
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards in all driving activities
