We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication administration and patient consultations as required
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory management
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper storage and labelling of medicines
- Support the pharmacy team in stock replenishment and organisation of pharmaceutical supplies
- Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards at all times
Qualifications
- NVQ2 Level Dispensing Certification or equivalent
- Prior experience as Pharmacy Dispenser is essential
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A recognised qualification in pharmacy services or related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to regulatory standards
