Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a positive experience, possess good organisational skills, and have a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
- Serve food items with attention to presentation and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, tables, and equipment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering questions about menu items.
- Follow food safety regulations diligently to ensure the health and safety of all patrons.
- Restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, utensils, and packaging materials.
- Assist in setting up the dining area before service hours and clearing after closing.
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista or waitress is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Good time management skills are essential to manage multiple orders efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
- A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team are vital for success in this role.
