In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients with complex mental health needs, ensuring safe, evidence-based and person-centred care.
- Take clinical responsibility for a defined caseload, leading the development, implementation and review of individualised treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team (MDT), contributing to ward rounds, case reviews and discharge planning to support positive patient outcomes.
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and maintain accurate, timely clinical records in line with professional, legal and organisational standards.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and guidance to junior medical staff and contribute to teaching, quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
- Ensure compliance with GMC standards, the Mental Health Act, the Mental Capacity Act and Priory policies, while supporting continuous service development and excellence in patient care.

The successful candidate will have experience working in Psychiatry and demonstrate strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills, with the ability to deliver safe, evidence-based and patient-centred care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain accurate clinical documentation. A sound understanding of relevant mental health legislation, professional standards and clinical governance is required. Section 12 (S12) approval and/or Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) would be advantageous but are not essential for the role.
