Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen at NRS Group of Companies for an experienced 360 excavator operator to bulk load dumpers and load aggregate recycling plants across our quarry and waste management sites. NRS specialise in aggregates supply, waste management and haulage services throughout the Midlands.
Job Responsibilities
- Site Safety: Adhere strictly to site traffic management systems, health and safety regulations and policies, and environmental controls, following safe systems of work.
- Operate Machinery: Manoeuvre and control 20 – 40-ton excavators safely within production areas. Be able to excavate to level. Cut batters and create formation.
- Material Handling: bulk load materials into dump trucks or screening plants.
- Equipment Checks: Conduct daily pre-start visual and mechanical inspections, report defects immediately, and maintain basic routine maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle.
The successful candidate:
- Experience: Record of operating heavy mobile plant machinery or excavators.
· Certifications: Full UK driving licence is required due to multi-site coverage all local in the Midlands area. Valid mobile plant competency certification would be an advantage.
· Skills: Practically minded, strong spatial awareness, and a reliable, punctual work ethic. A’ can do’ approach to working, team player and able to work on own initiative. Earthmoving and civils experience preferred.
Working Environment:
- Conditions: Primarily outdoor work in all weather conditions, operating heavy machinery within busy, fast-paced environments.
- Good rates of pay- dependant on experience.
- Hours of work: 50 hours per week plus overtime when applicable.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
